Continuing Professional Education at CISL (CME/CEU)

The groups and sites conducting immersive and simulation-based learning under the aegis of CISL offer a diverse set of activities that qualify for continuing education for medical and nursing professionals (CME/CEU). They also conduct professional development activities for educators, managers, and other simulation personnel. CISL is unique in bringing together experts in nearly every form of immersive and simulation-based learning, performance assessment, and research in one place.

CISL offers a suite of training courses and seminars for different kinds of simulation professionals. For more information about how your organization can schedule a simulation workshop, please contact Sandi Feaster, Program Director at sfeaster@stanford.edu. NOTE: We prefer to arrange the training sessions with teams of approximately 8-10 people. Our philosophy is that we want you to work together when you leave the workshop, so we want to train you together. We do not offer specific training dates, but prefer to work with 1 or 2 organizations as a team and find a mutually beneficial date for the training.

Simulation-based training for is offered for clinicians and teams by both the Patient Simulation Center of Innovation at VA Palo Alto Health Care System (the “VA Simulation Center”) and by the Center for Advanced Pediatric and Perinatal Education (CAPE). Information on these training programs can be found at their web sites or by contacting:
