EMCRM Control Room

Getting involved in immersive and simulation-based learning activities is easy. We offer simulation courses at our simulation facilities for clinicians, researchers, etc. CISL also is host to many nationally and internationally recognized experts in the field of immersive and simulation-based learning.

Time, talent and treasure. If you are a clinician (retired or not) and would like to help in conducting simulations, we are always seeking volunteers to be teachers, “actors”, or assistants. If audiovisual or computer programming is your thing, and you are wiling to volunteer some time, talk to us!

We offer fellowships in simulation and patient safety in Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine and Neonatology.

OR Nurse in OR Garb

Year round or summer intern positions are available in the simulation centers. These are volunteer opportunities to learn more about simulation, assist in simulation and see if this experience is for you. If you play a role in one of our projects this can lead to authorship on articles in the medical literature, or getting to know Stanford faculty better (helpful as a career builder).

One of the most important things you can do to get involved is donate to CISL. Funding and/or equipment helps train our clinicians, funds research activities and promotes simulation learning to the community at large.
